1. Core Architecture: Client-Side Processing
ShopiClean is engineered around a fundamental privacy principle: zero server data ingestion.
When you upload, drag, or drop a CSV or spreadsheet file into our tools (CSV Auditor & Fixer, Supplier Catalog Converter, Variant Splitter & Linker, or Image URL Scanner), the file is read and parsed exclusively inside your device's web browser memory using client-side JavaScript.
2. External Network Communications & Payment Processing
While spreadsheet processing is 100% local, the website connects to a small number of external services. None of them receive your spreadsheet files:
- Payment Processing: All financial transactions, card billing, and checkout flows are handled directly by our Merchant of Record and payment processor, Dodo Payments. We do not collect, view, or store your credit card numbers, billing addresses, or bank details.
- License Key Validation: When you purchase or restore access to a 7-Day Launch Pass, your browser communicates with Dodo Payments’ secure license API endpoints to verify license key validity, expiration dates, and activation quotas. To enforce the device limit, your browser sends your license key and a generic device label (for example, “ShopiClean Web (Win32)”) so that browser can be registered as one activation.
- Web Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 (see Section 5), which Google serves from googletagmanager.com. Google receives standard request data such as your IP address and browser details.
- Third-Party Script Libraries: Page styling and CSV-parsing libraries are loaded from public content delivery networks (cdn.tailwindcss.com and cdnjs.cloudflare.com). As with any web request, those providers can see your IP address and browser details, but never your files.
3. Local Browser Storage (localStorage)
ShopiClean uses your browser’s standard web storage mechanism (window.localStorage) exclusively to preserve your active pass credentials across browser reloads. We store only:
- Your alphanumeric license key
- The Dodo Payments activation ID for this browser and the time your pass was last verified
- One-way hashed purchase tracking flags (not your license key) to prevent duplicate analytics events
- Your cookie-consent choice (accepted or declined)
- Temporary local preferences (such as column re-mapping states)
This data remains confined to your workstation and is never combined with third-party tracking profiles. You can purge this data at any time by clearing your browser cookies and site storage.
4. Customer Support Inquiries
If you contact our support desk at support@shopiclean.com for technical assistance or refund processing, we receive your email address, your inquiry text, and any sample CSV files or error logs you voluntarily choose to attach.
Any sample spreadsheet files sent directly to our support desk are utilized solely for diagnosing import failures and are deleted within 30 days of resolution.
5. Web Analytics & Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), identified by measurement ID G-JP9PZNZTLN, to collect aggregate usage metrics. This includes general technical telemetry such as browser type, operating system, approximate geographic region (country/city level), referring pages, page visit duration, and feature interaction events (e.g., checkout initiation and tool interactions).
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish unique website visitors. We do not pass personally identifiable customer information, CSV contents, or raw catalog spreadsheets to Google Analytics, and purchase events use a one-way hashed identifier, never your license key. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or an ad-blocking extension. Your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting is not guaranteed to disable Google Analytics.
Analytics cookies are set only after you click Accept All on the cookie banner. Until then, analytics storage is denied and Google Analytics operates in a limited mode without analytics cookies. Your choice is saved in your browser, and you can change or withdraw it at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the page footer; declining or withdrawing consent also removes existing Google Analytics cookies for this site.
6. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live (for example the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Canada, Australia, or India), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because your spreadsheets never reach our servers, the personal data we hold is limited to support emails you send us and aggregate analytics.
You can clear your browser’s site storage at any time to remove your license key and related data from your device, and you can opt out of analytics as described in Section 5. To make a request, email support@shopiclean.com; we aim to respond within 30 days.
